Our Flying Field

We are very fortunate to have a large flying field. We can use a sheep paddock, just 6 km outside the St Helens town centre.

Special thanks to Alvin Reid, the land owner, for this excellent facility.

From St Helens centre, drive 2.8 km to the turn off into Ansons Bay Road and follow for 2 km, then turn into Reids Road (Note: on Google maps, the road is named Mount Pearson State Reserve) and follow the dirt road for 1.3 km across the George River bridge. Take the third gate to the left, marked Gate 3, which is 500m past the bridge

The coordinates for Google Maps are: -41.285692,148.220648

Being a sheep paddock, there are a couple of restrictions:

  • dogs allowed but restrained (on the leash or similar)
  • leave the gate as found
